Every year, the European Film Academy awards a prize for the best short film. European festivals (including Berlinale, Venice Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival and Winterthur Short Film Festival) propose the films selected by the respective juries to the Academy. With this selection of nominated films from 2023, the Short Film Festival will show some of the outstanding works of contemporary European short film production.
