The European Film Awards on 7 December at Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre (KKL Lucerne) are the highlight of this European film year. In the region of 1,200 guests are expected to attend the occasion. The awards will be broadcast live in Switzerland and throughout Europe.
The European Film Awards have recognised the top performers of the European film industry every year since 1988. They take place every other year in Berlin and move around Europe in the other years: to such cities as London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona and Reykjavík and now for the first time in Switzerland, to Lucerne.
«Public Viewing» & After Show Party
On 7 December, the Bourbaki Panorama will become a film hot spot. The ceremony of the European Film Awards will be broadcast live at the stattkino and commented on by poetry slammer Piera Cadruvi and film blogger Olivier Samter. The unofficial after-show party with DJs and numerous guests from the film industry will start at 11 pm. The event is a collaboration between stattkino, Kino Bourbaki and Film Zentralschweiz.
