Das Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) zeichnet jährlich den besten europäischen Spielfilm und den besten europäischen Kurzfilm aus seinem Programm mit einem Méliès d’argent aus. Der Méliès ist eine Reihe von Wettbewerben, die das ganze Jahr über stattfinden und die Förderung des fantastischen Films zum Ziel haben. Das NIFFF ist eines von acht europäischen Festivals, die den Méliès d’argent verleiht. Die Gewinnerfilme werden an der Abschlusszeremonie des NIFFF am 13. Juli 2024 bekannt gegeben.
